Body Training Systems (BTS) have just been confirmed as an exhibitor for WAFIC 2010. BTS is a group exercise based system of classes that has recently come to Australia. They will ring in tow a clothing range designed for group fitness instructors.

Julie Meek one of our inaugural presenters has just released a book called Truth, lies and chocolate. Launched only on Wednesday night, Julie will have these at WAFIC for you to purchase. For a taster of this excellent book why not attend Julies session of the same title 'Truth, lies and chocolate' on Sunday, session 8D.

I have the pleasure of announcing that Susie Burrell is now presenting at WAFIC 2010. She will be replacing Andrew Hamilton who has had to unfortunately cancel his trip to Perth. Susie has been seen often as a nutritionist on Sunrise, and other current affairs shows and is a popular presenter at industry conferences.

I wish Andrew all the best, and welcome Susie to our presenters team.

As of the 1st November you will be able to register for WAFIC 2010. Don't miss out on the Early Bird rates that close on the 31st of December! The new simple system will also provide you with an automatic Tax Invoice and session confirmation. The new online registeration forms allow you select your sessions and pay on line using your VISA or Mastercards. 12th - 14th February 2010!

The Business and Aqua Day is on the 12th of Feb with the two day conference on the weekend. this we have chosen the University Club as the venue for the Business Day, as parking is readily available, easier to get to and only costs about $6 a day. A aqua venue is still being sourced. The itinerary will be ready for release in a few months.

WAFIC 2009 had its first international delegates attend the conference, travelling from Singapore and the UK the two delegates thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with one stating "I love the simplicity and warmth of this conference". With 2010 around the corner organisers have secured Rob Glick (US) and Andrew Hamilton (UK) as some international guest presenters, with many more to come in the future.

Not to be out done the WA regional community represented 16% of the delegate turnout with 49 coming from as far as Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Exmouth, Port Hedland and Newman plus delegates travelling from QLD, Victoria, SA and the NT. We appreciate your support and we are thrilled to have you become a part of the WAFIC community. 

Some great news just at hand with several presenters coming to present at WAFIC 2010. The likes of Justin Tamsett, Lisa Westlake and Matthew O'Neill will be returning, but we welcome to WAFIC 2010 the industry respected Glenn Cardwell and William Sukala (from NZ).

Congratulations to those of you who won the prizes at WAFIC 2010. Firstly thankyou to GymCare, The Hilton Hotel Group, Sprot Edge Australia and  many others for providing the prizes for the industry.  GymCare donated a Fluid Rower (worth $2750) won by Nicole Little from Warnbro, Mary Cornelius won a night for two at the Hilton with Breakfast included and Club Rocky's won the $1000 sporting equipment package that included a full ticket to WAFIC 2010.
